BMW i8
Overview
Three pistons combusting internally, a dash of electrons, and lots of aluminum and carbon fiber are the i8’s ingredients. The i8 coupe’s eye-catching style is straight out of a sci-fi flick, and the open-top Roadster model is even edgier. Its 369-hp hybrid powertrain drives all four wheels; in our hands, the i8 hit 60 mph in 4.0 seconds and saw 36 mpg on our 200-mile test run. The poised chassis and sharp steering are good fun, but eco-friendly tires and regenerative braking hinder performance. The cool and controversial BMW i8 is entering the second half of its life cycle with a modest update but big news in the form of a new softtop roadster variant. It’s no coincidence that BMW is unveiling the roadster at the annual auto show in Los Angeles—that is where the i8’s initial press launch took place in the spring of 2014, and it’s where the car has an especially rabid customer base that is eager to telegraph their green credentials with this plug-in hybrid that BMW stubbornly categorizes as an “electric” on its consumer website.
The i8 roadster ditches the coupe’s vestigial rear seats in favor of extra storage—and the compartment for the fabric top, which folds down in just 16 seconds and can be operated at speeds up to 31 mph. The B-pillars stand upright even when the top is lowered, giving the roadster a somewhat targa-like appearance. The rear window can be lowered electrically, and there should thus be sufficient airflow in the cabin to create a true open-top experience. The model is denoted by a Roadster badge applied to a simulated window on the B-pillar, just in case you can’t tell from seeing the fabric roof.Purely electric range also increases from 15 to 18 miles, and the maximum speed on electric power alone remains a governed 75 mph. The added power and range come courtesy of a higher-capacity lithium-ion battery, which grows from 7.1 to 11.6 kWh.
This is another BMW making super sports car. BMW previously to come up with amazing sports cars but this one is certainly something to look out for. The price of this sports car is set by its manufacturer at Rs. 1.5 crore approximately. The performance of this car can beat all other sports car as it is equipped with carbon fibre structure that has 130PS electric motor that drives the front wheel and 240PS 1.5 litre three stage petrol drives the rear wheel. If you are genuinely looking for a sports car that will give you comfort, feel and look just go for this without any doubt.

Audi’s luscious R8 coupe and convertible are beautiful to behold, easy to live with, and simply marvelous to drive—everything you’d want in a sports car. The R8 is powered by a 540-hp 5.2-liter V-10; the V10 Plus makes 610 hp. All-wheel drive is standard as is a seven-speed automatic; a limited-edition rear-wheel-drive model is available. The handsome interior features a 12.3-inch configurable display in lieu of traditional gauges; there is also 4G LTE connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot capability.
Audi is one of the biggest brand names in the world. It has come up with some best cars previously too. The best part of this car is that it has 10 cylinders in its engine which gives it 550 bhp of power and support. The price of this car was set up to Rs. 2.09 crore and takes our word about it that it is a worth too. When compared with other sports cars in the market, this car takes an advantage in terms of features and price. This car can hit a speed of 317 kmph max. One can go from 0-100 kmph in 3.5 seconds. If you are an Audi lover then this car is something to look for.
Focus on the most important things.

You can switch between various display modes and adjust the instrument cluster to suit your own needs. This is done conveniently via the R8-Performance leather steering wheel. So your hands stay on the wheel and your attention on the road.
A plus in performance.
The even more powerful naturally aspirated V10 engine has been developed in line with the high speed concept and is mesmerising in its fast response and enormous power output over the entire speed range. In the Audi R8 Coupé V10 plus, it mobilises 449 kW (610 hp). With an acceleration of 0 to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 330 km / h, the Audi R8 Coupé V10 plus leaves a lasting impression.

F Type highlights
July 1, 2017: Find out more about impact of GST on Jaguar F-Type prices.
Last year, British luxury sports car manufacturer Jaguar enlisted the services of The Fast and the Furious star Michelle Rodriguez for a performance showcase. The Hollywood actress managed to achieve an indicated top speed of 201 mph in a Jaguar F-Type SVR sports car, on a closed highway in Nevada. Jaguar F-type rivals the likes of Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and is almost 10 lakhs cheaper than its competitor. Also topping the Vantage sports car, the F-Type also manages to produce an extra 33 bhp of power from its 5.5-litre V8 petrol engine.
Lamborghini Gallardo India Limited Edition
This edition is introduced and developed only for the Indian market. This edition of Lamborghini is more fun to drive than its counterparts or the other editions as it has a two wheel drive. The price range of this sports car has been set to Rs. 3.06 crore. This car has been finalized to be available in three color variants i.e. orange, white and green to give it a theme of Indian flag tricolor. The 5.2 litre V10 engines give it out a power of 552 bhp. This car something to look out for as it is a special edition for the Indian sports car lovers only.
Details
If you are a sports car enthusiast you’d know that for a car to be called a real sports car, it should be rear-wheel driven. And joy of joys, Lamborghini has used the rear-wheel driven LP550-2 (the 2 suffix stand for two wheel drive, obviously the rear wheels) as the base for this special edition. We are happy to hear that! But apart from some exclusive paint options and interior trim, no changes have been made mechanically….we are not complaining.
Paint
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 India Limited Edition gets three paint options:
- Arancio Borealis (Pearl Orange)
- Bianco Monocerus (White)
- Verde Ithaca (Pearl Green)
These three colours have been exclusively chosen as a dedication to the tri-coloured Indian national flag.
Exterior
The limited edition sports cars gets tricolour stripes that run from the bonnet onto the roof and to the rear engine cover, another tribute to the Indian flag. ‘India Serie Speciale’ plates near the driver’s side quarter glass drive home the fact that this is no ordinary Gallardo. Apart from these details, the car gets no other changes on the outside. The design features of the second generation Gallardo remain, such as the large cooling intakes at the front, the spoiler in between the air intakes, Y-shaped daytime running light integrated Bi-Xenon lamps, Y -shaped LED stop lamps etc.
Interior
The Gallardo LP550-2 India Edition gets an all black interior with unique stitching complementing the India theme found on the outisde. The driver’s seat will feature Verde Ulysse (Green) stitching, the passenger seat will get Arancio Leonis (Orange) stitching while the stitching on doors, center console and dash board will be in Bianco Polar (White). The rest of the interior remains the same, with two sports seats, a huge center console with Lamborghini’s multimedia system, air vents, control buttons etc.
Engine and Transmission
The India Special Edition gets the same unit as the normal Gallardo, a screaming 5.2 litre V10, 550 BHP, petrol motor which transmits the power to the rear wheels through a six-speed dual clutch transmission. The engine sits behind the passenger cabin in front of the rear-axle, the Gallardo weighs 1,380 kilograms and the V10 takes the car from 0 to 100 KMPH in 3.9 seconds, the car can hit a top speed of 320 KMPH (if the driver has the courage to).
Porsche Cayman S
This car is the most affordable car that has been introduced to the Indian public. So all the sports car lovers must look up to this car as against the Nano car which was flagged up and placed in India by Ratan Tata and was the most reasonable car for the middle class person. This car has 6 cylinders in its engine as compared to other sports car which has 10-12 cylinders. The maximum speed that this car can hit is 281 kmph and also it speeds up from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds only.
Cayman highlights
February 14, 2017: Porsche will launch the new 718 Cayman in India tomorrow, i.e. February 15, 2017. The car will arrive in India after over an year of its global debut. It will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre, flat-four engine producing 300PS of power and 380Nm of torque. The engine is expected to be mated with Porsche's seven-speed, dual-clutch 'PDK' automatic transmission. Porsche claims that the Cayman will complete the 0-100kmph sprint in 5.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 275kmph.
Porsche has announced that next-gen 2016 Boxster and Cayman will get the 718 name - 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman. Besides the new name, the duo is also powered by a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine! While deliveries of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman in India have already commenced, the official launch has been scheduled for February 15, 2017.
Porsche has derived the name 718 from their iconic flat-four cylinder (boxer) engine powered car of 1957, which had won numerous races for Porsche. Porsche says that the roadster version, i.e., Boxster will cost more than the coupe - Cayman similar to the 911 models. Moreover, Porsche went on to say that the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman will show more similarities than ever before – both visually and mechanically.
Porsche 911 Turbo/Turbo S
Overview
For decades, the 911 Turbo has been the stuff of legends, and it remains so today. With a monstrous 540 hp on tap—make that 580 hp in the Turbo S and 607 hp in the limited Exclusive model—and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic doing the shifting, Porsche’s all-wheel-drive supercar can hit 60 mph in less than three seconds. Take your pick of coupe or cabriolet; the styling is timelessly gorgeous, and its posh interior makes this road rocket a genuine pleasure to drive on any road, at any time.
The Porsche sports car is not complete until the turbo rolls out. The new Porsche 911 Turbo/Turbo S is an amazing car about to come up next month that is in October 2014 in India. The Indian market will surely be amazed by its features and technology grouped into it. The expected value of this amazing car would be around 2 crore in the Indian Market. This car has twin clutch automatic gear box and it can run up to 100 kmph is 3.1 seconds only.
An extra 27 horsepower over the standard Turbo S pushes the Exclusive to 607 ponies. If that makes it quicker, it’s difficult to tell from the driver’s seat. Acceleration is brutally quick, but a regular 911 Turbo S is already among the quickest cars we’ve tested and the power gain is less than 5 percent. Porsche’s own numbers put the Exclusive ahead of the regular Turbo S by only 0.3 second to 124 mph, and the claimed top speed is identical at 205 mph. The company says that zero to 60 mph comes up in 2.8 seconds using the standard Sport Chrono package’s launch control, matching Porsche’s claim for the standard Turbo S; we’ve recorded 2.6 for that model. These aren’t differences that make themselves evident in your daily commute.
And we couldn’t feel much difference even while lapping the Exclusive at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Northern California. Then again, this Pirelli P Zero–equipped car had little trouble keeping up with the new 4.0-liter 911 GT3 running on stickier Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Like the Turbo S, the Exclusive is willing and eager on track. It’ll rotate if you provoke the rear end with the throttle, it has brakes that never give up, and the whooshing six behind the rear seats figuratively shortens straightaways even if the extra punch isn't obvious without a stopwatch.
Lamborghini Huracan
Overview
Like real-life hurricanes, the Huracán family of supercars is awe-inspiring and extremely powerful. An exotic 5.2-liter V-10 mates to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic—a manual option is missing. Horsepower ranges from 572 on rear-drive models and up to 631 on the track-ready, all-wheel-drive Performante. Dramatic styling drips from angular and aerodynamic exteriors to technical and luxurious cockpits. The sexy Spyder convertible increases the emotional response even further.
This car is another Lamborghini development will be shown to the public at Geneva motor show. This super car is started to be compared with AUDI’s 2015 R8. The car will be priced at Rs. 2.5 crore. The fire power in the engine of this car has been increased several notches as compared with its previously manufactured sports cars.Lamborghini used no magic in creating the Performante, just a practical and reliable methodology of adding power, removing weight, and improving aerodynamics versus the regular Huracán. The first of those is largely thanks to airflow improvements, netting 29 more horsepower and 30 additional pound-feet of torque, for totals of 631 and 443, respectively. The Performante’s lower weight is the result of a simplified exhaust system and wider application of Lamborghini’s Forged Composite, a resin reinforced with short, chopped carbon fibers.VIEW 29 PHOTO
All angles and creases, the mini-Murciélago look is great on any Huracán, but not even in the steamiest math-teacher fantasies does geometry look so good as on the Performante. The majority of the rear view consists of purposeful grille mesh for exhausting heat generated by the 8500-rpm V-10, accented by the awesome black-marble appearance inherent in Forged Composite’s manufacture.
It’s the inevitable result of multiplying 443 pound-feet through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission then through four Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Rs, but what happens when you engage launch control certainly feels like magic. The Performante accelerates so hard, you’re not sure if your eyes are widening because your brain is desperate for more input or if it’s simply the g-forces packing your eyelids deep into your skull. Either way, 60 mph passes in 2.3 seconds, an improvement of 0.2 over the regular Huracán. After the gut-punch launch, the quarter-mile whooshes past in just 10.2 seconds, at which point the Performante is wailing beyond 136 mph.VIEW 29 PHOTOS
So narrow is the focus of the Trofeo Rs that driving in the rain is legitimately scary. Caught on a winding road in a downpour, we were outrun by an animal-control truck. But on dry pavement, the grip is astounding, with the Performante joining an elite club, posting 1.11 g’s on the skidpad. More amazing is how the utter flatness of the body conspires with that grip to make 1.11 g’s feel so anticlimactic. A stop from 70 mph takes 135 feet. And in non-extreme use, near-perfect pedal feel makes modulation easy.
The air vents, door pulls, shift paddles, and center-console trim bring the Forged Composite black-marble look into the cabin, where it’s surrounded by other special touches. From the toggle switches for the windows and other controls to the contrast-color perforations and striping on the seats to the fighter-jet-style flip-cover over the start/stop button, the Huracán never lets you forget that you’re not just in a car, you’re in a Lam-bor-ghi-ni.
There are drawbacks, sure. The single-piece carbon-shell racing seats are so narrow and hard that, for many of us, the bruising on our hips became visible in an hour or less. Ingress and egress require such feats of contortion that your author kneed himself in the face getting out. And it’s loud inside. The exhaust does have a (relatively) quiet mode, but let’s be clear: One thing you’re not going to be in a Performante is comfortable. So why bother? Let it feel special. Let it feel like magic.
Jaguar F-type Coupe
Overview
The hard top version of the Jaguar F-Type Convertible, which bucked the usual trend and launched first. You can blame America: it’s the biggest Jaguar F-Type market and they demanded the drop-top first. So got it.
The Coupe launched in 2014, looking more like a modern-day E-Type than the roadster F does. Which is to say it looks absolutely belting. It received a light update in 2017, with an oh so subtle restyling and a new engine option.
That’s a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo – yep, even big lairy Jags aren’t safe from downsizing – and if you spec no options at all, means you can buy an F-Type for less than £50,000.
Happily, the four-cylinder doesn’t arrive at the expense of the F-Type’s bigger, more characterful engines. So there are supercharged V6 engines with 335bhp, 375bhp or 395bhp, which get two round central exhausts to visually differentiate them from the four-cylinder and its single central pipe.
See an F-Type with four exhaust pipes, though – two at each end of the bumper – and it’s running a V8. You’ve two to choose from: the 542bhp F-Type R and the 567bhp F-Type SVR. They’re all-wheel drive only, and all the better for it, finally able to put their power to use in a way earlier, RWD V8 F-Types couldn’t. And the SVR is the first Jag since the XJ220 to officially top 200mph, too.
You had been detailed about Jaguar F type and E type car before but this F type coupe is an amazing sports car to be launched in October 2014 in India. One of the biggest news about this car is that it has smaller 2 litres having 4 cylinders petrol engine which gives it extra power. The car will cost you around Rs. 2 crore approximately.
Jaguar XFR-S
Jaguar XFR-S sports car is the most amazing car manufactured by jaguar in decades. Sitting and driving this car, will just make you feel in a heaven. The market price of this car is absolutely well priced by its manufacture. They are of a view that the price that they have set will sustain for a long run as they are providing worthwhile value on the price they have set for this car.
